Preservative, not subject to declaration C-Kons is a newly developed substance that can be used in a multitude of homemade cosmetics: creams, shampoos, deodorants, mascara, lotions, facial tonics, eye gel etc. It is especially well suited for formulas containing much water, as it is colorless: gels, shampoos or deodorants stay transparent. Besides its desired anti-microbial effect, it moisturizes skin and hair and is slightly lipid-replenishing. C-Kons does not contain any allergens, it is stable at temperatures up to 80° C, and works in the whole pH range. It you want to preserve an emulsion (e.g. a cream or lotion) with C-Kons, mix C-Kons with the aqueous phase; then add it to the oily phase. You can stir it directly into water-based products.
