Make your own, non-toxic modeling clay! Mix 400 g flour, 50 g alum and 200 g salt. Bring 1/2 liter of water to the boil. Add 3 tablespoons of oil. Add hot water to the mixture, knead with kitchen processor or dough hook. You can color the clay with a few drops of food coloring - done! This clay can easily be washed out of the clothes, and it is safe if children "taste" their modeling clay! You can prevent drying out by storing the mass in an airproof plastic bag or plastic jar. Tip: alum is a very good substance to color give hydrangeas a blue color. Add one tablespoon of alum to 10 l of water and water the plants with this mixture - once a month will do!
