Calcium citrate is a source for improving your calcium balance. You can simply add it to water or juice and drink it. It can also be added to sweets, jams or sauces. The calcium content is 20,6%. 4,8 calcium citrate contain 1 g calcium. If you make jams or jellies with reduced sugar content or sweeteners, and use low methylester apple pectin, you need calcium. Some fruit don't contain enough of it, so you can add calcium citrate. The concentration is 0,2 to 0,3%; you should add 2 to 3 g of calcium citrate on 1 kg of the finished product.
