The skin care wax made from South American palm trees The South American palm tree Copernicia prunifera yields carnauba wax; it protects the young leaves from drying out. Carnauba wax is a very solid wax with a melting point of over 80° C. It is extremely skin-friendly. If you process carnauba wax in combination with delicate oils: melt the wax first, let it cool a little bit, then add the oil.
