Source of AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) Lactic acid is an organic acid built by various sugars and bacteria in yogurt and cheese. It is a clear, slightly viscous liquid with an acidic scent and taste and an extremely low pH value (< 1,8). This product contains 80% pure lactic acid - E270. Lactic acid is mainly a cosmetic adjuvant that aids solubility, e.g. when processing powdered chitin. It is a component of the so-called AHA acids (alpha hydroxy acids). Lactic acid moisturizes, firms and softens the skin. In cosmetic formulas it is often used as a pH-regulating component. In deodorants based on Odex it removes the cloudiness.
