If added to the oily phase, it will make a soft cream or lotion that might thicken a little more after a few days. Cetyl palmitate as a consistency enhancer gives a pleasant feel to the skin; its fatty acids are extra-nurturing. If used in high concentration, cetyl palmitate will make creams rather solid.
