Bee's best for your skin! Suitable for internal use! Bees produce propolis out of the resin layer of tree buds and their own gland secretions. Propolis contains many flavonoids, vitamins and minerals. In the beehive, propolis improves structural stability, stops bacterial growth and inhibits viruses. Propolis tincture is made by dissolving propolis in ethanol. This solution contains at least 10% pure propolis. In skin care, propolis is used for protecting, regenerating and strengthening the skin, especially for dry, irritated, rough skin and rushes. It also tonifies large-pored skin and improves its complexion. Propolis solution can be used in creams, lotions, gels as well as in shampoos and shower gels. In mouthwashes and toothpastes it is mainly used for its anti-viral and bactericidal properties. If stored in a dark place, propolis solution has an almost unlimited shelf life.
