For a smooth and silky skin Plant-based squalane is produced from olive oil and is an innovation in the area of cosmetic ingredients. Until now, there was only animal-based squalane available - made from sharks. Plant-based squalane is a clear, odorless liquid. It is slightly oily ? but it is no oil. You can use it undiluted on your skin and see and feel its wonderful smoothing effect. You can add it to creams and lotions. Recommended concentration is 1 to 5%, but you can use higher concentrations without any problems. Just remember to use an appropriate amount of consistency enhancer in the oily phase, or reduce the aqueous phase accordingly, otherwise the cream might turn out too thin (more liquid than spreadable).
