Color your soap with a natural plant pigment! The seeds of the annatto plant have been used as a food colorant since ancient times. Aztec hot chocolate, Mexican barbecue steaks or Vietnamese duck - they are all colored with annatto seeds. Our powdered annatto has food-grade quality. You can use annatto for coloring soap. There are two ways: macerate the powder in oil (the powder is more efficient than the whole seeds). Let sit for at least a week. Then, use the oil for making soap. You can also add the powder directly to the soap batch. After the gel stage, your soap will have a wonderful, dark yellow to orange color - depending on the amount of annatto used.
