The oil obtained from the tiny seeds is clear and slightly yellow; it contains mostly oleic acid and linoleic acid (appr. 70%). Additionally, it contains a lot of squalane (more than 5%) and phytochemicals like tocopherol and tocotrienol. Amaranth oil supports the skin functions. It is also known as an anti-aging substance. It is mainly used in creams and lotions for dry skin, and in baby care products. Naturally, it can also be used in massage oil blends and all other skin care products.
