Our coffee bean oil is extracted mechanically from roasted beans of Coffea arabica. It smells wonderfully of freshly ground coffee - without any artificial aroma added. It is undiluted. The pure, dark brown, fat oil can be added to skin care products as a fragrance. Due to its moisturizing effect, it is often used in soapmaking. But its properties enhance skin care products as well. It contains the following fatty acids: palmitic acid (over 30 %), linoleic acid (more than 35 %), plus stearic acid (5 to 10 %), oleic acid (5 to 10 %) and arachidic acid (appr. 4 %). Its high content of skin nourishing unsaponifiables (6 to 10 %) make it most suited for sunscreen products. Because of its high content of caffeine, it is mostly used as an active ingredient in anti-aging products: face creams, masks and body lotions. It also alleviates skin irritations. In hair care, its anti ageing properties are appreciated as well. Added to shampoos, rinses and hair packs, it is said to aid hair growth and density.
