Neutral oil is produced from medium-chain fatty acids from vegetable oils (coconut oil, palm oil). Single fatty acids (capric acid, C10:0, and caprylic acid, C8:0) are isolated and esterified with glycerin. Therefore, neutral oil has a consistent quality, without fluctuations caused by origin or harvest. But: it contains no active substances like vitamins, squalan or lecithin. The required substances can be added to a cream made with neutral oil. As neutral oil is odorless, any required fragrance can be added to the homemade cosmetics. Due to its medium-chain fatty acids, it spreads well and is absorbed swiftly, and does not leave the skin greasy. The oil is very fluid and is tolerated well by sensitive skin and baby skin.
