For this oil, the bright yellow to orange petals of pot marigold (Calendula officinalis) are macerated in soy oil. Their nurturing components pass over into the oil. Calendula oil is mainly used for dry, rough and chapped skin, in skin or hand creams. Calendula oil prevents the dehydration of mature skin, the soreness of baby skin. Calendula oil is often used for burns, for wounds that heal badly, for varicose veins or acne. Calendula oil can be added to the oily phase or to the finished product.
