Fresh burdock root is macerated in neutral oil; the resulting oil is said to have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Burdock root oil is mainly used in hair care products. You can add it to shampoos and rinses, or massage it directly into the scalp.
Burdock root oil strengthens the hair and prevents hair loss. It is also used for skin ailments like eczema.
