Polynesia`s skin and wound care oil: oil from the seeds of the Calophyllum inophyllum tree. Carefully cold-pressed, and organic! Calophyllum oil (or foraha oil or tamanu oil) has been used in Polynesia, India and Tahiti since ancient times: for treating wounds, eczema and infections. Its high content of resins, terpenes, thymol and benzoic acid, known to be anti-bacterial and anti-viral, is responsible for its healing properties. It is especially esteemed for its ability to protect and regenerate veins, and often used for treating wounds and scars. It also is very helpful against inflammatory skin ailments.
