A favorite of the aromatherapists! The hazelnut was a sacred plant of the Teutons. This oil has a golden yellow color and a slightly nutty scent; it is obtained by pressing. Hazel nut oil is a nourishing oil for cosmetic purposes. It is especially beneficial for pallid, sagging skin and for dry skin. It has a high content of unsaturated fatty acids; it is therefore recommended to add 2 % natural vitamin E (tocopherol) to protect the oil from getting rancid. Creams, lotions and anti-aging products with hazelnut oil will spread well and are absorbed quickly by the skin. Hazelnut oil can also be used as a lipid-replenishing component in shampoos or shower gels. Concentration: 1 to 3 % as lipid-replenisher, up to 60 % of the oily phase in creams and lotions.
