Grape seed oil, rich in anti-oxidants and other active components Since 100 years, oil pressed from grape seeds is popular in the Mediterranean region. The grape seeds are leftovers of winemaking; they contain 10 to 20 % oil with a high percentage of polyunsaturated fatty acids. This well-tolerated oil is very light, and a very good base oil for oily skin with a tendency for impurities. Especially beneficial are the contained oligo-proanthocyanidins (OPC). These are powerful anti-oxidants that firm the connective tissue by stabilizing the collagen fibers of the tissue, thus making it more elastic, smoother and more resilient. The skin looks younger.
