One of the healthiest oils - from the ancient crop plant flax! Particularly rich in omega-3 fatty acids! Flax has been cultivated by humans for around 10.000 years. Its fibers have been used to weave fabric, the seeds were used for medicinal purposes or for pressing oil. The oil is produced by carefully pressing the seeds, which contain about 45 % oil. Flax seed oil contains more linolenic acid (omega-3 fatty acid) than any other plant (more than 50 %) and is low on cholesterol. It is a very drying oil and is used for producing organic paints and for other technical purposes. In skin care, flaxseed oil can help against dry skin and psoriasis.
