The new solubilizer! Dermofeel G 10 LW is one of the new generations of solubilizers: completely plant-based, PEG free, biodegradable, BDIH-compliant and certified by Ecocert and NaTrue. Dermofeel G 10 LW is Dermofeel G 10L in an aqueous solution. It is an non-ionic surfactant that is especially suited as a solubilizer, but can also be used in shampoos, shower gels etc. Additionally, it can be used as co-emulsifier to improve sprayability of lotions that contain oil. It can be combined with all common emulsifiers, it works in acid as well as in alkaline formulas and can be processed in a wide temperature range (up to 80°C). This liquid solubilizer is especially suited to dissolve small amounts of oil in aqueous solutions: essential oils in a bath, your favorite oil in a leave-in, fat soluble vitamins in a facial serum or eye roll on - anything goes with Dermofeel G 10 LW! If you use Dermofeel G 10 LW, you need to mix all oils and fat-soluble ingredients with the Dermofeel, using a ratio of 1.3 to 1.5 (oils to solubilizer). In some cases, it might be necessary to use more Dermofeel G 10 LW. It is important to mix until you have a homogenous texture, until all oily parts are coated with Dermofeel G 10 LW. For small lots this can be reached with a spatula or glass rod, for larger amounts it is better to use a small mixer. The next step is to add the aqeuous phase and keep on stirring until the formula goes transparent to opaque. For all those who love transparent formulas: adding a small amount of alcohol will improve the lipid?s dispersion in the aqueous formula and will result in a clear mixture. Dermofeel G 10 LW can also be used in men?s skin care products. It is well suited for after shaves and light skin care formulas as it is non-fatty and has the lightness preferred by most men.
