Soda belongs to the tried and tested household remedies when it comes to cleaning the cooker, kitchen and bathroom.
Soda is sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) and is obtained from minerals containing sodium carbonate. So it is not a problem in the household or the environment.
Since soda is alkaline, it forms an alkaline solution with water, which is particularly suitable for greasy dirt. It simply saponifies the fats.
Make your own scrubbing milk with soda. - The book "Green Cleaning" helps with this.
