A warm and spicy candy scent! Star anise evokes a sense of Christmas sweets and biscuits; but in China, the star-shaped seeds are used in savoury dishes as well. Anise essential oil is a must for all fragrance blends with a "festive season touch", be it as an ambience fragrance or a soap scent. It should be used sparingly, as it can become quite dominant. Combines well with other spices, with vanilla and orange, but also with herbal and woody blends.
