Neroli oil is obtained from the flowers of the bitter orange tree. These flowers are hand-picked, while they are just opening. Then they are distilled without further delay, to produce the finest oil. Neroli oil contains more than 400 constituents. Some of those, like indole and jasmol, can also be found in jasmine oil. They are responsible for the exotic and narcotic, slightly sultry note that rounds off the light and floral neroli scent. Neroli oil is one of the most important components of the classic Eau de Cologne; it builds the fair and floral heart of the fragrance. A lightening and relaxing oil that unfolds its vitalizing effect in skin care and suits all types of skin. In natural perfumes, it combines best with fond notes that are not too bold.
