The scent of Citronella essential oil is very similar to that of the very expensive lemon balm essential oil (although its constituents are distinctly different). Its fresh and dry lemon scent is extremely versatile: it repels insects, clears the air and adds a fresh touch to spring-cleaning activities. It combines well in soap and cosmetics with herbal notes, lavender, woody and spicy scents.
