Witchhazel hydrosol For this hydrosol, leaves and bark of the witchhazel shrub are being distilled. It has astringent properties and is especially beneficial for dry and chapped, impure, large-pored skin. Furthermore, witchhazel extract is calming, anti-inflammatory and disinfectant. It can be used as a substitute for water in shampoos for itching scalps. Main components are tannins, like hamamelitannin, ellagtannin, essential oils, flavonoids, gallic acid.
